Join The Texas Baptist Christian Life Commission for Advocacy Day!
The CLC is excited to provide this event to equip Texas Baptists for advocacy and to facilitate an opportunity for you to speak to your state representatives. This year the CLC is also celebrating our 75th anniversary of advocacy and serving Texas Baptists!
On March 3, attendees will hear from keynote speakers (Dr. Steve Bezner, Senior Pastor of Houston Northwest Church; Tim Alberta, journalist and author; and Curtis Chang, professor and theologian) about Christian witness and responsibility in the public square. Attendees will also learn from John Litzler, the CLC Director of Public Policy, about legislation for Texas 89th Legislative Session and how to have an effective visit with representatives and senators. Lunch will be provided.
On March 4, attendees will visit a session of the Texas House of Representatives or Senate and be recognized. Those who are interested, will meet with legislative offices at the Capitol building. Breakfast will be provided.
